Facilities and accommodation at The Land
We are equipped to take residential groups of up to 12 people at a time at the Land, and we can cater for up to 30 people for a non-residential workshop.
The accommodation at the Land was designed and built in a simple South Indian style specifically for group accommodation, but is also the home of the Sahis who live at the Land. The feel of the place is therefore very much like a home and we are happy that our visitors feel so at home and comfortable staying with us.
There is a meditation room or chapel which is sometimes used for services and meetings, but is most usually simply used as a quiet space.
A geodesic dome was built as part of a project to explore low cost buildings, designed by Buckminster Fuller we have used it at different times as a studio space, exhibition space, meeting room and now as our office.
The main house is where the groups that visit us stay. The hall inside has a large dining table where all meals are served, a kitchen with facilities to make hot and cold drinks, a place for reading and playing board games.
There are five bedrooms attached to the main hall, guests share rooms in groups of between 2 and 3 to a room depending on the group size.
The bathrooms and toilet block are shared by the group with cold showers and flush lavatories. Hot water for bathing is available which is heated by a woodfire.
